Honest Mobile is proud to announce Honest Forests! We have partnered with One Tree Planted to plant trees across the globe and continue our efforts to fully offset Honest Mobile. Since our first customers joined the network in September 2019, we have promised to give back 1% of all revenues to environmental charities. We have backdated all our customer usage and are ready to start planting trees this week.

Protecting the environment, and restoring it, is probably the most important issue in a generation and at Honest Mobile we want to do our part. If every business in the world committed to spending 1% of revenue on protecting the earth, we would be in a radically different place. We have focussed our efforts on climate change mitigation and as such are planting trees in California where Giant Sequoias can live to over 2,000 years old and – over a lifetime – more than offset an entire UK citizen’s carbon footprint.

We have worked hard with our suppliers to ensure that all usage of the Honest Mobile network is already fully carbon offset – making us the first consumer network in the UK to be Carbon Neutral – so these additional trees start to contribute towards the daily charging of your phone as well as offsetting its original manufacture.

Whilst you might see trees every day across the UK, we are losing forests across the globe at an increasingly worrying rate. Sometimes natural disasters are the cause – this Winter during the fires in Australia, an estimated of 26.4million acres of forest were lost.

One Tree Planted is an environmental charity on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. One Tree Planted pools the donations for each project and sends the funds to their reforestation partners who are each vetted to ensure that the company maintains a tree survival rate of 80-90%.

How Does It Work?

We take 1% of your monthly bill and contribute it straight to reforestation projects. We pool all our members’ bills and plant as many trees as possible in a given month. For those of you feeling generous, you can opt to add £1 extra to your bill which plants an extra tree a month.
