building a network for people and planet 🌍
Hi, we’re Andy and Josh, and we’re the co-founders of honest mobile 👋
We think the mobile industry is broken. It’s spent the last couple of decades tying you into complicated contracts, overcharging you for being a loyal customer, keeping you on hold, and almost everyone we speak to has their own bad experience with a mobile network.
We knew there had to be a better way, one that’s better for you and better for our planet. That’s why we launched honest mobile 🚀

With inflexible contracts and sneaky charges at the end of the month, you’re also often better off leaving your current network to get a better deal. Unlike other networks, we’re not going to let you pay for a plan you don’t need, so we send you a notification when you should downgrade, and our loyalty discount means your bill gets cheaper each month you stay.
We get that you’re busy. You don’t want to waste your life on hold 🤯 That’s why you can manage everything in our app, and if you do need a hand you can speak to a real person in under a 30 seconds.
The tech industry isn’t facing up to the reality of the climate crisis. It contributes the same amount of CO2 as global aviation – but no one’s talking about it. That’s why we’re proud to be the world’s first carbon negative mobile network. We offset double the CO2 emissions generated by our members’ phone use, manufacture and daily charging – as well as everything we do at honest HQ.
We’re incredibly proud to be the UK’s first Certified B Corp network. Every decision we make considers our members, our employees and the planet 🌍 just like some other brands you’ll know like Patagonia, Bulb and Innocent Drinks. We’re also proud to be the Good Shopping Guide’s top-rated mobile network, with the top results in all categories in their Ethical Company Index
We’d love you to join our amazing members and help to build a better mobile network that has a positive impact on our planet.

FAQs
can I switch to Honest and keep my number?
Absolutely!
To move your number to Honest Mobile you’ll need to get a PAC from your current network. You can get this by texting ‘PAC’ to 65075 (it’s free!) – then once your SIM arrives, we’ll just ask for your PAC, your phone number and you can choose a date for the switch to happen. You can do it all in the app!
do you have 5G?
Yes! All our SIMs give you access to the UK's fastest 5G.
We chose to piggyback on Three because of their incredible 5G offering – more usable 5G than any other UK network and it’s 100MHz!
To access 5G you will need a 5G enabled phone and to be in an area with 5G coverage. You can check whether your area has 5G coverage with Honest here.
how can I check signal in my area?
You can check the signal in your area using Ofcom’s signal checker: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/mobile-coverage.
i'm stuck in a contract, can I still join?
You can, but, there is normally an early termination fee so please make sure you check this first.
Text “INFO” to 85075 (for free) to find out how long you have left on your contract and whether you have an early termination fee.
which network do you piggyback on?
We piggyback on Three's masts.
what is the carbon footprint of my phone?
The carbon footprint of an average year’s smartphone usage is 69kg (this includes production and transport). That’s based on an iPhone 11 128GB used for 3 hours and 15 minutes a day over two years.
what does carbon negative mean?
Carbon negative means we go beyond being carbon neutral. We remove double the CO2 created by the manufacture, use and daily charging of your phone.
how do you remove CO2 from the atmosphere?
We remove double the CO2 emissions created by your smartphone by planting trees and investing in new technologies like Biochar and Direct Air Capture which have higher permanence than afforestation.
